This study shows that atrial inflammation in patients with atrial fibrillation is associated with increased oxidative stress, fibrosis, and SGLT2/GLP-1R expression. SGLT2 inhibitors and GLP-1R agonists reduced oxidative stress, with the combination showing the strongest effects.
