La cardiopathie rhumatismale reste une cause majeure de valvulopathie, sans traitement démontré pour ralentir son évolution. Les inhibiteurs de SGLT2 pourraient avoir des effets anti-inflammatoires et antifibrotiques bénéfiques, mais cette hypothèse doit encore être étudiée dans la RHD.
Rheumatic heart disease remains a major cause of valvular disease, with no treatment proven to slow its progression. SGLT2 inhibitors may have anti-inflammatory and antifibrotic effects that could be beneficial, but this hypothesis remains unproven in RHD and requires further research.
