Impact of diagnosis-to-ablation time on left atrial remodeling and voltage-guided ablation outcome in persistent atrial fibrillation patients

This study found that patients with persistent atrial fibrillation who underwent catheter ablation more than one year after diagnosis had more advanced left atrial remodeling and a higher risk of atrial tachyarrhythmia recurrence. Although diagnosis-to-ablation time was not an independent predictor of low-voltage zones, early ablation within the first year may improve long-term procedural outcomes.
